Ionic App is duplicating the last lap on run

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

For example...today I ran 4.5km. The app shows data for the first 4km then the partial 0.5km as lap 5 but then another 0.5km as lap 6.

Its doing this every time...help!

@Jo285 A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for getting in touch about this.

I appreciate the details mentioned, It's pretty weird that your watch is duplicating the last lap on run.

I would like you to restart your watch and make sure you've set the laps properly in your watch. Once you finish your run, make sure to stop the activity in your watch too. Is it happening with any other activity? Does the Ionic shows the duplicate lap on the watch or are you seeing it only in the app?

Let me know how the troubleshooting goes. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Thanks for your reply.

Ive restarted my watch and the laps are set to automatic every 1KM.

I always stop the activity on my watch as soon as ive finished.

Its showing the duplication on the app. Im not sure whether its showing it on the watch as well because I didnt check that at the time and i dont think it stores that information on there does it?

Ive attached a photo of my last run. This happens every time.IMG_7746.PNG

@Jo285 Thank you for the screenshot attached.

I appreciate that you mentioned you always stop the activity as soon as you finish it. Please log out from the app and force quit it, log back in. I would like you to double check that  you have the latest Fitbit app version installed on your phone, which is 3.29 for Android and iOS.

If you're still experiencing this after the troubleshooting mentioned above, let me know the phone mode and OS installed on it.

My app is 3.28 (986) and im using an iphone with IOS 12.4.8

I tried all of your suggestions...I logged out of the app and forced quit and logged in again, even did a firmware update and calibration of the watch, but it still did the same yesterday.

This has been an issue for along time for me. It does not happen on every run but today it was very weird. The double partial laps where not identical (see image). The last one was added to the totals. I am also using an Ionic (w. iPhone 11) and everything is always updated. I sync with Strava that doesn’t show the extra lap.
