Ionic Band Detaching from face

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I barley had my watch for less than a week, the band kept detaching from the face until it eventually just detached without my knowledge only to be lost for good. The best part the customer service left much to be desired. You would think that this watch being the solution to all of the blazes problems, it wouldn't have such problems. Even the set up, it was having so much trouble connecting my notifications to the IONIC. I have been a fitbit user for quite some time, but this is the item that is going to make me switch to the apple watch.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Lost For Good" as both ends of the band would have to come off for you to lose the band, or do you  mean you lost the entire watch somewhere and can't find it?

I had a similar issue with the band (but only because I took it off myself first and didn't put it back on properly) It takes quite a bit of force (at least mine did) before you  hear that audible click the indicates the band is back in place.

If you have lost the entire watch then there is little that can be done about it except check with the local police station to see if anyone handed 1 in (unlikely in this day and age I suppose) if you have home and contents insurance then you may be able to claim from them, though I'd imagine the excess alone would be more than the watch itself.

If you do still have the watch and you think the band is faulty take it back to where it was purchased and get a replacement.

Thanks for your feedback.  It looks like I am not the only one that had one side of the band, detachs often.

The grey solid band that my Ionic came with, seemed slightly wide at lock sides, even when buckled snugly.

Looking at the underside of the band, my small latch area, was not popping back up properly. I purchased mine from Target online, and in going back to my local store, they could replace the complete watch only, not just the band.  I had already set up everything on my watch, so did want to keep my original!

I saw the black sport band made by Fitbit, with the holes throughout the band.  I just purchased this, after trying in the store.  Perfect and with the flexibility of the non-solid band, fits so much better and stays put!  It was worth the money to me!  I have a few other new Summer Sports bands -all with the holes- for easy color changes!  I love Ionic and have had every single model over the last five years! So much fun with Challenges, etc.  I am a Happy Senior and love competing with my younger family and friends and chiding them when I Top-Step all the 20 year olds!!:)

Have a Great Day!
