Ionic Battery Draining Fast

For the last few days my ionic has not lasted 2 full days on 100% battery. I’ve updated app, logged out and in, deleted app and reloaded, fully charged twice to 100%, reset the Ionic and tried not syncing or using any functions. It’s not even 6 months old! Any ideas?

You are not the only one having an issue, it appears there might be a problem with the last Firmware update, some customers are having luck testing with Tech Support while others appear not.  Check the thread above on the 32.10... update.

I'm having the same misery as you. This is the 2nd Ionic I've owned since purchasing 3 months ago. The 1st one wouldn't charge despite everything done including the factory reset guided by Fitbit Customer Service. I got a 2nd one through warranty less than a month ago, but it completely drains in less than 24 hours! To make matters worse...the Fitbit mobile app is having problems connecting to this watch so I can't even attempt the update, hoping it would remedy things. I had wristband problems with my Fitbit HR 2 years ago which eventually lead to replacement under warranty. A year later, the same issue. I went through 2 of those in one year. I've now paid over twice the amount for THIS watch and I've had 2 Ionics fail on me in less than 3 months. I'm really disappointed and frustrated because I really do enjoy Fitbit as a brand and the kind support by their employees. Unfortunately, I'm finding the products are unreliable and struggle with quality of workmanship. Maybe I'm just really unlucky? I'm at a point where I just want this watch to finally work without constantly draining but I'm pretty confident that my next smart watch will not be a Fitbit due to my unfortunate experiences over 4 years  😞

I’m down to 78% from a 100% charge and all I’ve done is sleep and turned off syncing. It’s ridiculous. I agree, these watches aren’t cheap. I’ve been very loyal this is my 3rd Fitbit and like you I’m considering other brands although won’t be happy if I have to replace this watch myself as it’s less than 6 months old!

After many attempts tonight, I finally got this Ionic to sync to my phone and ran the update. Mind you...the update ran on Bluetooth so took a long time. I went from my watch battery showing 50% to now it shows full on the website dashboard and 87% full on the watch. I've not had it plugged in since 7:30pm EST last night and it went through that lengthy update. Which one to believe....hmmmmmmm.....lol

Hang in there. As long as you're within the 1 year warranty, if its defective hardware that's covered under the Manufacturer's Warranty, Fitbit is very good about honoring their warranty.  I obtained a case# from Fitbit then went to Best Buy (where I purchased) and did the exchange for a new Ionic right there. They recognized the warranty for the exchange instead of using the Geek Squad service plan. It was quick and painless.  I hope your situation with the Ionic improves!!!
