Ionic Clock Face changed suddenly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

All of a sudden the face of my Ionic changed to a dumb yellow envelope with the time and a blue background. Tap on the face and I get another yellow envelope that does nothing. What I can't get is my steps. What happened and how can I change it back.

That is pretty weird! What clockface are you using? Is it a paid one and your trial period is over? In any case try changing it to a Fitbit one and report back.

I didn't pay for anything.  There is a yellow cat that sits when I sit and walks when I walk. Cute but I'm not 8 years old.  I have no idea how to change it back. I have searched the site and googled the solution. It says to go to change at the "clock face" I can't find it anywhere.  Please give instructions.

Welcome on board @KM4ID, it's nice to see you here! Smiley Very Happy Thanks for troubleshooting this on your own, nice way to go!

While reading your post I guess you have the Fitbit Pet. See: What is Fitbit Labs?

To see your options, open the Fitbit app and tap or click the Account icon > your device image > Clock Faces Pick a New Clock.

Note that to update the clock face on your watch, you cannot have more than 38 apps installed.

Give this a go and let me know the outcome!

I have a different issue.  I have been using a Fitbit watch face (Boxy) for months without issue.  Today, all of my vitals on the home screen are reading "undefined, na, or ----".  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the iPhone/watch connection and have restarted the watch itself without a resolution.  I really do not want to switch watch faces.  Is there a solution?

Welcome here @shgregory55, it's nice to have a new member around! Smiley Very Happy Thanks for already troubleshoot this inconvenience with your clock face, nice way to go!

Have you checked if your Boxy Clock Face doesn't have a pending update? Your watch searches for updates when plugged into the charger and in range of your Wi-Fi network. To manually check for app updates:

  1. With your watch nearby, on the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon () > your device image.
  2. Tap or click Apps.
  3. In the list of apps installed on your watch, find the app you want to check. You may have to scroll down to see some apps. Tap or click the name of the app.
  4. If the app has a pending update, there is a pink Update button next to its name. Click it to update the app.

If everything seems to be up-to-date, I'd recommend switching to a different clock face and sync your tracker to save the changes. After that, please restart your Ionic and then, go back to the original clock face (Boxy).

Let me know if after doing this everything is back to normal. Smiley Wink

My Fitbit Ionic keeps changing colors on its own and now the battery is only lasting about two days. I just charged it Tuesday and now on Thursday I have a low battery warning. I assume it’s because of the color change.

Same issue here.  Put my Ionic on the charger and in the morning screen color changed and battery does not last a day.  Called support and she said I changed it or I forgot I changed it.  Very condescending.  Offered me a discount on a new Fitbit.  No resolution.  I find it strange the color change and battery issue happened the same day.  Out of warranty so I guess I'm out of luck.

Actually I ended up pushing back and they replaced it for me at no cost. So
I wouldn’t give up yet.

Has Fitbit been hacked? I had same experience today - my watch face with stats disappeared, I don’t even see this clock face in the gallery. What’s up?
