Ionic update problem... watch is now in a loop

I received a message that my Ionic needed an update.  The update stared but only proceeded about 2% after an hour.  I have tried to reset the watch BUT in only shows me the Fitbit Icon... tried holding down all three buttons, releasing the bottom right button.  The watch is completely froze.

It looks like the update is the problem. I don't know of anyone that has updated their IONIC in the last week and it did not freeze.

I would be very surprised if you were to tell me that it will charge after the battery runs down. That appears to be the next step.
