Is the colour of the Ionic bezel baked in, so to speak, is it a coating?
If it's a coating, does this mean that when scratched, all three colours of bezel will be silver underneath?
Thanks

edit is anodized aluminum. Unless you're willing to manually and deeply scratch it, you would see silver. But is not a coated paint, anodizing is way more durable and does not involve paint

So what your are saying is that it takes a very hard hit to really scratch it. Normal every day wear and tear should be fine?

exactly, what happens is anodizing oxidizes the outer layer of the aluminum and by either heat or electricity it changes it's color, so there's no coat, just pure metal and will handle wear and tear good.

I bought my Fitbit Ionic in October 2017 and have been wearing it almost everyday but i recently notice the inside metal part is beginning to change color and I'm worried about it oxidizing. I have not been in contact with extreme heat or electricity. Can you please advise what are the guarantee for product's wear & tear.
