Fitbit Ionic Exercise App not working. On the Fitbit Ionic I go to the Exercise App and choose an activity (eg. run, bike, walk etc) and when I click on the 'start' button it just return me to the home screen of the Exercise App - the app does not start recording my data for the chosen activity. I have done multiple restarts of my Ionic with no success.

Thanks for the details shared in your post and for already trying to resolve the issue. Since you've tried to restart the device, I recommend changing a clock face: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?
