Ionic Failure - Fitbit step up and help us!

PLEASE HELP FITBIT!

Your loyal ionic customers, I myself are with you 5+ years ( started with a pebble), need their ionics back on track!

The latest update has been a disaster for ionic, one of your premium, expensive watches, and like myself, and in this current climate, not many can afford to replace their ionic, even with 25% off.

From a customer whos life is tracked through her watch, please please help.

I had a same problem with my Iconic as of yesterday - I called fitbit support this morning. I was told there is nothing that will fix my iconic. Was given the same response/offer of a 25% discount on another unit.

Fitbit CS and warrantee blows. After 5+ years of enjoying fitbit products for both myself and by wife, the relationship will end here since this is what happens when the customer does nothing, the product just stops working and -we- the consumers are left with a request to buy another unit.

Despicable way to treat customers -especially when your online forums are littered with the same problems and the same lame customer help response. "sorry Sir - but can you buy another"

One hundred percent agree. My Fitbit app is deleted from my phone and the
defunct watch in the drawer. I'm disappointed with the response. Come to
think of it, my previous blaze was also a dud, which burnt me. Pebble was
about the only thing that works....

i had similar experiences of bad luck, i posted this in another location, but wanted to share:

just so everyone is aware... when you have a replacement watch that has also failed and more than 1 year has passed from the original watch's date of purchase/warranty period, you are supposedly no longer eligible for a free replacement. Fitbit will only offer you a % discount on buying a new watch.

in my case though:

Ionic#1 12-25-2017 to 7-4-2018 (R.I.P.) 100% free replacement Case#2MXV84WRP

Ionic#2 8-3-2018  to 2-10-2019 (R.I.P.) 100% free replacement Case#25649209

Ionic#3 3-28-2019 to 2-21-2020 (R.I.P.) 100% free replacement Case#28851596

Ionic#3 is for some reason not under warranty anymore(based on Fitbit's warranty policy, i guess it shouldn't have been a free replacement).

i reached out for help on March 5th 2020 and was told my case was being referred to support, but i never got any support... and now i am only offered a 25% discount on purchase of a new Ionic.

i love this watch, but it is terrible and it in my experience cannot last a year before failing a miserable and common battery related death that many other Ionic owners have also experienced.

😥

Fitbit Ionic went black screen after 2 years of owning it.  Fitbit offered 40% off on a new Fitbit (but not Ionic) and 25% on a new Ionic.  No way am I paying for another Ionic.  I give this thing like zero stars for longevity.  I'm going to Apple Watch, should have done that the first time.

From these forums, it appears that the Ionic going black screen is a common problem and I feel like Fitbit is throwing us under the bus.  I'm going to product review this thing to the crap can on every website I can.
