Fitbit Update: Fitbit OS2.1 has been released to 100% of users!
Hi all!
I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.1! (Firmware Version: 27.32.10.15)
We've started to roll out this update to 10% of Ionic users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Ionic users can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
WHAT’S NEW
Introducing quick replies. Send customized responses to text messages and messages from select messaging apps with your Fitbit watch. Note that this feature is currently only available on watches paired to an Android phone. For more information, see How do I respond to messages with my Fitbit watch?
This release includes other bug fixes and improvements.
Step by step instructions for updating your Ionic can be found here.
I recommend updating your Ionic over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Ionic to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into any trouble updating your Ionic, I can also recommend reviewing these troubleshooting tips.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

@MassiP wrote:@duck_puddle I updated my Ionic on 32.10.15 and I can confirm that custom stats saving is solved.
Thanks. I’m wary though. There are mentions in the custom stats thread from people that updated to .15 and it didn’t fix it for them (along with creating a bunch of new problems). That was my experience with the Versa. That’s what has made me wary. My previously fully functional Versa (minus the custom stats thing) is now a $200+ bracelet (since it’s also started just shutting down spontaneously every so often - I can’t even call it a watch).
I’m leaning towards leaving my Ionic as-is (since it’s my only working tracker until whenever they release another update for the Versa) until Fitbit can confirm that they actually intended to fix it and it’s fixed. For everyone. I would prefer not to turn my Ionic into a $300 bracelet. Frankly, it’s not pretty enough to pull that off.
The only people I saw consistently confirming that the issue was resolved were people who got .20. But then again, maybe they would be the same group who would have gotten it fixed with .15 too. I have no idea. I don’t think Fitbit has any idea.
Anyway-thank you for the info.

I have an S7 phone to be more specific about that. I also use the Verizon messaging application as well. Seems like if you don't use Verizon as your carrier the messages come through but no group text messages show at all.

I am there after 10years and 5 different fitbit products done! For seven months they have said that they were working on the notification issue and i have officially given up. I wish i had waited before buying and bought an Apple Watch. Fitbit does the Fitness apps really well but stinks onthe smart watch!!

Disappointed in syncing issues with Ionic and oneplus 5T. Can't have any other Bluetooth devices in use or even in Bluetooth list of previously connected devices. Charge 2 has never presented any sync issues. Really wanted to use the Ionic, have not even bothered trying to up load music to the Ionic after reading some of the forum post regarding issues with that function. Any future plans from Fitbit to get this resolved with OnePlus 5T phones?

Can’t believe the update overlooked message +. So now after the update I can no longer get text notifications on my ionic. The answer seems to be change my message +. Why should I have to change because Fitbit dropped the ball. I wonder when....if ever they will fix it.....so dissatisfied!

@MattFitbit do the developers now that there are widespread problems of people not able to sync with their phone? I can never sync with my Galaxy s8 but it works great on my Mac.
The way the watch and phone communicates is the problem. I've been trying to update for 2 hours but the app can't find the fitbit using bluetooth or wifi.

I've updated my Ionic by using my Phone's hotspot and it worked very well. Completed in 10minutes.
Not much changes or fix that i notice. Sync for weather watchface and Weather app still require me to tap Sync a few times. It's not automatic and has never been automatic for me whether its Windows, Android or IOS.
Sync for step is auto though.
No change in battery life or other weird issues fortunately.

Hello,
Received the update a coupe days ago. Since then I have experienced the following:
Unsolvable "simplified sleep"
It is not syncing workout data with my phone. It is tracking on the watch.
The app on the phone is not showing any results when searching for food
I uninstalled the app on my phone, then reinstalled. Now it times out when trying to log in. (I can however log into the website.)
Any ideas>
Thanks!

I have had several issues lately.
5/9 - I started a Run workout and the watch completely shut down. I was able to get it restarted and continue my run.
5/14 - Wouldn't connect with my headphones both headphones and watch fully charged. I reset the watch and everything connected well. Started a Run workout and the watch completely shut down. This time, it would NOT restart. I tried several times then just let it sit for an hour and it finally came back on.
It has not tracked my sleep since 5/11. I did restart the watch on Friday just in case but no joy.

As much as i like engaging to help improve products l use.
Having a fit bit sometimes feels like helping a friend test their Arduino project.

@MattFitbit I restarted my Ionic before this morning's run, and the Exercise app did not crash at the 1 mile mark as it did in my previous two runs.
