In the past few weeks the GPS of my Ionic no longer connects, with the exception of half through a walk. It doesn't matter what the location is, the "searching..." status just remains. I've tried turning off the watch, turning it back on and trying to connect the GPS while standing still in an open spot but no connection. This has happened before but it was a rarity and within a few minutes the GPS would connect, now the watch consistently either doesn't connect or connects when I'm nearly done a walk, it never connects during a run.
Has anyone else experience this and is there a fix?

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Ionic. Thank you for trying to get them resolved before contacting us.
I would recommend following the troubleshooting steps in this article in the menu "How do I get my Fitbit device to connect to GPS?".
In addition, you can set up your Watch as a replacement device:
