Lately my IONIC is overlaying the walking map with straight lines between main points. Why??
I walk thru a forest trail and around a small lake. I neither fly, nor walk on water but Ionic seems to think I do! 🤔

Hi @SunsetRunner, welcome to the Community Forums.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared in your post, seems odd that your Ionic built-in GPS is thinking that you can fly or walk on water but I'm here to help you. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this situation and how many times since then? Which phone are you using with your device? Can you please share with me a screenshot of the GPS maps your device is generating?
Looking forward to your reply.

Hi, Ricardo. I have a 2 year old Samsung S10e. The map glitch is for the last 4 - 6 weeks.

Thanks for your reply and for the screenshots that were shared @SunsetRunner.
If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check the steps that are specified on our help article: Why isn't GPS working on my Fitbit device? and let me know if the issue persists.
I'll be here if further assistance is needed.

Posting in here as don't want to open another thread. I used my Ionic GPS to track my cycle home and all it has is the start point and end point. There is nothing tracked apart from 0.11km and it was a journey that should have been 4km in total.

Welcome aboard @youhippy, it's nice to see another post from you here in the Community Forums.
I appreciate the details that were shared with me. To further investigate, can you please let me know which phone are you using to sync your Ionic? When was the first time you experienced this situation and how many times since then? Which activities are being affected? Did you already try the troubleshooting steps that were shared on this thread?
I'll be waiting for your reply.

Hi @RicardoFitbit im using an iPhone 12 mini to sync with my fitbit. It wouldn't be an issue syncing as the watch only tracked 0.11km of my 4km journey.
I've used the watch today to track two rides and these both tracked and synced as expected.

I have the same issue, started last week. iPhone 11. My normal bike ride of 10.5-ish miles recorded as 3.4 miles and showed similar routes. I had synced right before the ride like I usually do.
