I had the charge 2 for months and it tracked great, and my resting heart rate was 60 bpm. A few days ago, I got the Ionic and my resting heart rate is now 78, up 18 bpm in a couple days. I got 8 hours of active minutes yesterday despite not being active that long because the heart rate readings are almost always 100+, even while resting. I am seemingly unable to get my sleep insights because my heart rate is so high it cannot track or understand my sleep stages, and when I woke up this morning my heart rate was 115. My average calories burned has gone from 3000 to 6000 in two days, and it is clear that it is inaccurate. I also have worn the charge 2 I used before while wearing the ionic, and the readings seem to be at least 20-40 bpm off with the ionic having higher reading. I have confirmed its inaccuracy with the charge two, manually taking my heart rate with my pulse and through a different brand chest strap heart rate monitor that all say about the same readings that are 20-40 bpm off from the ionics readings.I have followed the instructions on the fitbit website to both restart and shutdown the Ionic, and I have charged it multiple times. It seems to be more accurate right after restarting, but eventually it becomes inaccurate again. I factory reset my ionic and then follow the directions to update and set it up again. I did this twice, and it was still found to be inaccurate yesterday and today, using the same methods I mentioned before. I have yet to be given any way to fix this, despite several chats with support and as of right now it is an ongoing investigation.
Best AnswerHi,
that's strange, really!
Did you report that also to Fitbit support?
Maybe you can try factory reset or standard reboot.
Maybe also shut down the Ionic for about 5 minutes and start again.
Best regards,
Mark
