I switched from the charge 2 to the Ionic. With the charge, I would average about 4 miles for my 10,000 steps daily. That is with and without activity tracking. I haven’t used the GPS tracking yet on my Ionic but now For the past 2 weeks that I’ve ha dot I’m averaging about 2.5 miles with 10,000 steps. Why is this? Is there something I need to set up differently? Today I’m at 1000 steps and 0.11 miles.

Just a thought - Check your units of measurement as 2.5 miles is equal to 4.0 km.
Is your Ionic on the same Fitbit account/profile as your Charge 2 was?
Distance = steps * stride_length.
If both devices were using the same account/profile the stride length used for calculating distance should be the same. If you created a new fitbit account when you purchased your Ionic, you may want to check the Stride Length settings under https://www.fitbit.com/settings/profile

I've walked over 11,000 Steps which is +5 miles. My Ionic says it's barely over 1 mile.
