My Fitbit Ionic has been unable to sync or update or connect to WIFI for a couple weeks now and I have tried all the troubleshooting ideas on the FitBit Help site etc. I'm about done with this thing.

Sounds like good lesson learned. I know I'm sorry with my choice.

Holding down left and bottom right buttons worked for me as well. Thanks UncleVito!

Hi everyone and welcome to the new users!

I'm aware that you probably already tried all the basic troubleshooting steps, however, it won't harm to take a look at all the information shared on theWhy won't my Fitbit watch connect to Wi-Fi? article and the Why won't my Fitbit device sync? article about the requirements and troubleshoots. They could also be useful for other users checking this thread for the first time.

Thanks for all the feedback and for taking the time to share your experience. Fitbit continuously works to improve the quality of products and services, and all this information is useful to our team of developers.

Catch you later!

Same problem...For just the last 2 weeks. Not sure if there was an update that caused this. No connection to WiFi...cannot sync to my iPhone or online Fitbit dashboard. Really disappointing. Anyone  that we can talk to...?

My Ionic is the same.  Sync does NOT work!  Period.

Its all up to date.  I've tried re-installing, re-pairing, Bluetooth resetting, re-linking, re-starting....re-everything.

I've tried on two different phones.

The sync works for a couple of hours, then stops.

FITBIT.  SORT THIS MESS OUT NOW!!!

The price I paid for this **ahem** watch and the sync won't work.  You need to sort this mess out now.  This is NOT acceptable.  You know there's a fault and yet you are doing nothing about it.

I'm sending mine back for a full refund unless something is done NOW.

For Gods Sake!  Are you not bothered about your reputation?  Do your customers mean nothing?  Do you not care?

Its time someone took legal action against you.

Trades description act.  Incorrect advertising.  False claims.

FITBIT - SORT IT NOW.....NOW!!

Your iobicidoes not sync through WiFi, it uses Bluetooth to sync through the phone. The phone then connects to the Internet through cellular or WiFi.

OK all, I think everything is working again (at least for me). About half way through the day today, I decided to reboot my Ionic and then reboot my phone. After that, the app finally seems like it's wirking again and syncing throughout the day as it should. I've even been able to force sync and it's updated right away.

I'm thinking this was a server issue that fitbit wasn't owning up to?

When a tracker doesn't sync. the first suggestion is turn BT off/on. If that doesn't fix it a restart of the tracker and phone is suggested.

IveI'noticed that often when the tracker isn't syncing. i also can't print from the phone. A restart of the phone fixed both.

Now if it was a server problem, there would be several thousand or maybe several million complaining .

Fitbit support on Twitter told me that Iphone 10 was not supported. Which wasn't true at all. I got the right scoop here from support.
