My father bought a Fitbit Ionic about a week ago. He's not very tech savy but wants to try, so he got this watch and he likes it, as I already own a Blaze and it's great.
Anyways, the Ionic is causing troubles. It hasn't been able to sync since Sunday (that's 4 days from the time of posting here) and all the Fitbit app seems to do is try and fail or just show a red circle with an exclamation mark.
His phone (An OPPO Reno 5G) isn't listed as an unsupported device, I've made sure that everything is up to date (Phone is up to date, I assume the Ionic is as it hasn't asked to update) and I've tried all the steps on other community posts, ie. rebooting both devices, various Bluetooth steps, reinstalling the app. No luck.
He doesn't own a computer or another phone, so trying the watch on other devices isn't an option.
All he wants is to get calls & texts to his wrist as he works in a noisy environment. Any help would be appreciated quickly. Thank you 🙂

@ThatTonybo A warm welcome to the Community. Sorry for the delayed in my reply.
I appreciate the time you took to post the troubleshooting performed prior to posting. It's good to hear that you own a Blaze and your father an Ionic.
Since you mentioned that your father has a OPPO Reno 5G phone, please double check with him if he has a compatible operating system with the Fitbit app, which should be Android OS 7.0 or higher.
If he does have a compatible device, confirm you performed this syncing procedure.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
