I’d been having problems with my last Ionic after 2+ years of really consistent and reliable use. Fitbit asked me to send that unit back and would offer me a discount on another product. I did and they ended up just sending me a New Ionic! Great! Except this new watch won’t even set up. I can’t get further than 50-75% until it fails and loops. I’ve gone through all suggested steps and troubleshooting fixes. No luck. Has anyone else tried to set up a New Ionic lately?

I ended up figuring it out. It would try to load the new firmware, make some progress, and fail twice before trying to reset. But before resetting, it would ask me to try to switch to bluetooth and continue. Then, same cycle, load some, fail twice, then try to switch back to wifi and continue. I just had to let it do that and toggle back and forth between wifi and bluetooth, babysitting it until it completely updated. Now everything seems fine.
