Ok. I have had my ionic less than 4 months. Sleep tracking stopped working a few weeks ago. The other day, it started tracking intermittently. I have tried shutting it down and restarting and changing the clock face. Yesterday, I did a full factory reset. That helped a little, but it is still not tracking all my steps. It is not tracking stairs well. It is not tracking active minutes. Any other suggestions?

@ABMATX Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for sharing the experience you have had with Ionic not tracking data correctly. Thanks for trying those steps in order to sort this out.
There are a couple of things you can still check to sort this out:
You could also perform another restart on your watch if you feel it necessary.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if this continues to happen.
Keep me posted!

Ugh. Same as mine. Walked for 1.5 hours and it tracked just 15 mins. This is turning out to be the worst Fitbit ever. My notifications don’t work and on the app the date is wrong on the active notifications and it won’t change. Very very disappointed in the item.

Wow.... is the only thing that I can say right now that is somewhat polite 🤬 Just got off the phone with Fitbit regarding an issue that I have been having for more then 3 months. Since late May I’ve noticed that the active minutes and Calories burnt have not been calculating. I’ve called Fitbit several times and so far they can not give me an answer of when the error will be corrected. The last rep I spoke to could care less even when I told him that this whole situation was ridiculous and that unfortunately they have lost a loyal customer. His response was “ Well you gotta do what you gotta do!?!?”🤬

@ABMATX Thanks for your reply and for providing all of those details. I'm really glad to read that customer support was able to find the root cause of the situation you were experiencing. I'm glad you are getting a new unit.
Once you receive, please follow these replacement set up steps for you to not loose any of your previous data,
@Thejonesgirl Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for reporting the situation you are experiencing with Ionic not tracking data correctly.
In this case, I'd recommend performing a restart on your Ionic. This should help with the data it is not tracking correctly.
Regarding notifications, you can try all of these troubleshooting steps. This should certainly help you out. Setting the notifications again is the last step on that article.
Also, check that the time zone settings are correct on the app. That should help. Syncing will save any data changed in the settings.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted!

For me the active minutes haven’t been recording since the last software update. Called Fitbit and they do not know when the issue will be fixed. The only thing they can tell me is that it’s on their end and they are aware of it 😞

I'm also very disappointed in this item.
Steps, sleep, hart rate, stairs, ... tracking don't work. Or, very rarely.
Even after factory reset.

Same issue, I am not sure it's resolved !
Problems with tracking your sleep, seem to have a lot to do with the way you wear Ionic and specially how it's tightened. The watch has to be as far as possible from your wrist, high up on your foere-arm, strongly attached. In that sense, the material of the band to attach it is very important, since it should be as tight as possible, but not excessiveley. Soft leather is ideal to have this, though it's expensive.
Attach it far from the wrist to the last notch that you can reach. The softness of the material will allow to do this, without excess and without hurting. (allowing the blood to flow, with the strongest attachment)
I am not a "specialist technician", but since I did that, it tracks sleep much better.
