Ionic Stopwatch App Bug

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Ionic appears to have some bugs in the stopwatch app. When I start the stopwatch the digits on the display start counting immediately, but the tenths place does not increment consistently (i.e. every tenth of a second). That is more of an annoyance than anything, but I feel like a stopwatch app should at least be able to update tenths of a second in real time. The other problem is that the display stops updating after as little as 0.5 seconds. Apparently the timer is running in the background because if I turn the display off and back on the display updates, increments for a few seconds, and then stops again. I have firmware version 27.30.5.8. Anyone have any idea what is up with this behavior? Thanks.

Edit: The countdown app appears to work as expected.

Hi @clnhlzmn,

I just tried this, but wasn't able to reproduce the issue. On mine it looks like the tenths are all showing up, but it's difficult to tell because it's such a small increment of time the digits fly by. Just curious, what would you need tenths of a second for anyway?

As to the updating the display, my Ionic isn't experiencing that. The stopwatch continues showing and updating. I'm on the same firmware as you.

Have you tried restarting the Ionic?  Is the Ionic doing something else like downloading music or syncing during the stopwatch use that might cause it to lag a little?

I may have been imagining the lag in the tenths place digit. Like you said it's hard to tell. It's not that I need to see the tenths place. It's just that a stop watch app should update the display smoothly. It's just an annoyance.

What's not an annoyance however is the display freezing. As far as I know it's not doing any updating or syncing. I just restarted and the app appears to be working for now, but I don't consider restarting the watch to be a solution.
