Ionic Stuck on FitBit Logo

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So around an hour ago, I was happily using my Ionic to fast forward through ads in a podcast while taking a shower, and a couple minutes later I look down and the Fitbit logo is displayed on the screen. Initially I thought it was weird, but figured it was some sort of glitch. But 10 minutes later the logo was still on screen, and occasionally flashing in and out.

I tried all the things mentioned in these threads with similar issues, but to no avail:

I contacted support and they ran me through the soft reset and factory reset button combinations which I did (even though I had tried them before), and then they told me that all they could do is provide a discount code for a new device. I feel like at $330 (CAD), it should last more than barely over a year, and I'm really disappointed.

I'll probably let the battery die out and see if that does anything, but I'm wondering if anyone has managed to recover an Ionic with a similar problem? I love the Ionic, so I feel like if it's truly dead, I might end up buying a new one, but I'll also really deeply resent Fitbit for that... I've had far crappier/cheaper devices last far longer.

@raphaeltm Welcome to the Community. Thanks for taking the time to share the threads that you visited prior to posting.

I see where you're coming from. I appreciate that you mentioned you have contacted our Support team and tried the troubleshooting recommended by them.

Unfortunately, since you've tried the recommended troubleshooting and it hasn't worked, it might mean that you may need a new Fitbit Ionic. Usually our Support team provides with tips and procedures that might fix your watch but if this doesn't work, they provide other options.

Hope another user can jump in and share their experience. I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
