Does the fitbit app need to be able to connect to the fitbit servers, in order for it to show data from my Ionic watch?
I was having issues this morning synching the Ionic to the app on my phone, and also saw other posts here with people having the same issue. I thought it was an issue with my bluetooth connections.
But - does the app need to upload the data from the Ionic to the fitbit servers, before it will register the synch as successful? If that upload fails, will the app also fail to display any data it received from the Ionic?
Might explain why people have issues that can't be solved by things like resetting bluetooth, unpairing devices etc. If the fitbit servers aren't responding, maybe synching doesn't work?
