I am tired of dealing with the ionic. I have lost data due to factory resetting the watch when all others options such as restarting, shutting down, removing from app, re installing app, etc did not work. I’ve had a charge HR and almost recently I had the blaze before purchasing the ionic and I loved them both. I’m thinking about trying the Apple Watch instead. I have to spend so much time trying to sync this watch. Just when it seems it’s fixed, then two days later it won’t sync again.

I am also having this exact same problem. Continuously having issues trying to sync the ionic to my S9. It's very aggravating.

Me too. Tired of jumping through all the hoops at about 30 minutes per jump only to have no syncing again within a few days. Note 8 phone. It is insulting to be expected to believe this is anything but incompetence of the software support personnel or indifference to non apple phone users.

Ditto. I will not be buying another Fitbit. I don't care if the Apple Watch has less fitness options. I get points (and cheaper rates on health insurance) by how many steps I take a day. To get credit, I have to open the app everyday to synch. There is a problem with this device and ignoring it or blaming the users makes me mad. I have iOS.

Yep. I am also having these issues and it seems to have been particularly bad over the last few days. Resolving is so time consuming and customer support don't seem to be able to help. I have read so many accounts of people struggling with this issue. It is such a shame as I love my Ionic and have used Fitbit for years but a basic requirement is that I can sync it!! It is so unreliable.

Having the same problem as everybody else. I love my Fitbit Ionic, but I need it to sync. If this isn't resolved I'll have to move on from my Ionic too

I am also having synching issues, I bought my ionic in July 2018 about a month in from purchasing I had to factory reset, a month later I had to uninstall and re install the app & now a couple weeks later already I need to do another factory reset because nothing works to fix the synching problem... I was so excited to get the ionic after my charge 2 but I'm so disappointed, it was a lot of money for a product not up to par. I'm not sure I will stick with Fitbit for my next purchase 😔

Mine is only a few months old and I am also having issues syncing, it is not receiving calls or texts anymore.. this is ridiculous
i spent a lot of money on this once my Blaze all of a sudden died with no explanation from the Fitbit company.

I too am seriously disappointed in the Ionic. I've been satisfied with previous Fitbit products but the syncing issue with the ionic is pathetic. I've followed every un-install /re-install, shutdown/startup, reset, reboot, calls to Fitbit tech support, Community Blog, return to Best Buy... all mutiple times. Dozens and dozens of wasted hours. I am literally on my 3rd replacement Ionic over a span of 6 months (Thank you Best Buy for treating the customer right and replacing the product without question, in spite of them knowing that the Ionic is crap) and now my 3rd Ionic has quit syncing too, just like the other two. Works for a week or so then just mysteriously decides to quit syning. Frustration does not begin to describe how I feel about this watch.
No more for me. No more Ionic. No more Fitbit.
Hopefully Best Buy will do right again and just give me my money back.

I got my Fitbit 2nd hand a month or so ago. Had no issues for 3 weeks and in the last week I've had many issues with syncing. I have troubleshooted by resetting my ionic. Uninstalling Fitbit and relogging in and other smaller things. And I am.unable to get it to sync. I love the watch. I really do. But I didn't spend £100 plus on a smart watch that can only tell me the time and my steps. If I wanted one of those I would have just bought the cheapest one

I reset my Bluetooth. Unpaired the ionic then repaired. Reset the app. Reset the ionic. I have tried tonnes of things and it's just not working properly.
If it continues. As much as I love it I'm gonna have to return it under warranty to CEX. I don't want too because I really like it

I'm having the exact same problem... The only difference is that my watch is not even 1 day old... have tried everything and it is just too much of a hassle.
I'm returning my watch.
What I really can't comprehend is the fact that fitbit knows there is a huge problem, but they aren't trying to communicate to their users that they are working on a solution. All they say is: Is your bluetooth on? Try to reset this, try to reset that.
Fitbit please give a straight answer... Are the sync problems something you can fix with a software update?
Or is it really just 95% of everyone who owns the Ionic that are so unintelligent that we can't sync the phones properly?

I've had my Ionic for 10 days... I've had to reconfigure / re-sync / re-setup everything 8/10 days in order for it to 'speak' to my phone. After seeing numerous threads about syncing issues, I've realized I wasted $200. What a **ahem**.
So what's the fix FitBit?
I'm expecting to hear crickets. How many hours of our lives do we waste with crap technology? How can FitBit put out such expensive, non-operable technology? What a scam.

Had problems with my ionic a couple of weeks ago and after everything else had to do a factory reset this only fixed the issue with syncing with phone. This was despite fitbit saying phone was not on their accepted list. Never managed to get it to sync with windows ten again. Now two weeks later will not sync with anything. Had a blaze before never had a problem only changed as blaze was not waterproof. Fully agree this appears to be a major software glitch and as a result now hate my ionic.
