Is anyone else with the Fitbit OS 3.0 update able to get water added on the ionic via the today app to sync with the dashboard? i can add all the water I want on the ionic, but it never syncs. Water I add via the dashboard shows on the ionic, but not the other way around.

My water did not show on the app when I logged it on the ionoic watch until hours later the first time I did it and it does not sync when I manually sync it either. Also, my watch is now stuck on my latest water entry and won’t change from that. I turned it off and on and logged off and back on from the app and it still remains the same, not syncing (even manually) and stuck on my last water entry on the watch. I’m thinking this may have something to do with me taking a shower with it on maybe that screwed something up.

Hi there. Is there another solution to this problem? The water I logged on my ionic synced to the FitBit app the first couple of days; However, it is no longer syncing.

This option doesn't have the water sync up to the watch, or the watch sync up to the app. Right now the only way to keep consistent track of water intake is to add it via the app.
I hope this gets fixed soon.

ANY updates? It is now September and the issue isn't resolved.

Not only that, but now there’s Fitbit Premium membership out, which is paid.
Is it just me, or should the company not fulfill its basic commitments to clients before asking for more money? I bought my Ionic nearly a year ago because of, amongst other things, the oxygen saturation sensor, but that feature still isn’t available to me to use. Does that even make sense? It’s the same here – there’s been a problem that still isn’t fixed (at least not for me with water logging) yet all this time their efforts have been put into creating paid software rather than servicing that which is promised and currently exists. I have no words for such disregard of loyal customers.

Fitbit, please stop thinking that resetting is the answer to all our problems with our products. That’s the only answer I see from moderators, no matter the issue. That isn’t a solution; it’s a brush off.
Please take legitimate problems into consideration. We are not asking for special features or making requests, but just asking that features we paid for actually work.

I'm going to product review this on yTube .. fed up.. month after month of repeating the same "work around " which doesn't actually work.. Fitbit really have dropped the ball on their ionic customers.. how about offering us free premium access for a year to make up for the atrocious inconvenience of an overpriced gadget that does a fraction of what it has advertised. Pathetic.. this thread highlights the lack of expertise and customer care held by FitBit

I like your phrase, “a fraction of what it has advertised.” That’s exactly the point. I’m far from being a complainer or hater – I bought the product, for goodness sake, so obviously support it. However, when the features I paid for (namely the oxygen saturation) have not yet been released A YEAR after my purchase, what did I pay for? I could have had a cheaper version at that point to do the same my Ionic does now.
I don’t understand how a company can do such a thing in today’s competitive market (especially one that is supposed to promote a healthy lifestyle). To me, a healthy lifestyle begins with honesty, being good to your word, and reliability.

I have had my ionic for almost a year. The water logging on the fitbit doesn't transfer to the app. I have contacted fitbit and am on the thread about this problem. I have seen hundreds of posts a out this problem. There are many posts from fitbit saying they are working on the problem. Now I see you are selling out to google. So I presume you have no intention of fixing the problem. Thanks for no help.

Hi,
I just wanted to check if this issue has since been fixed. I have my Ionic for about 2 weeks now and just seen that the water I log on my watch does not sync to the fitbit app. I have tried restarting and manually syncing but nothing works.
Further to this issue I have been experiencing issues with my notifications not coming through on the watch since I got it. I got notifications for a full 2 hours in 2 weeks and nothing again. I tried force stop, rebooting phone and watch, resetting my networks, checking that all notifications are on, checking if I have the latest app and ensuring my phone is updated, tried all this when phone and app was fully charged, basically tried every solution I could find on fitbit community. NOTHING WORKS! 😞
So frustrating and sad that I bought a watch that does not do what the box says it should.
Can someone please fix all the issues with the app. It is just a full mess! Its disgusting.

Hi first time posting but I want to say that I just picked back up wearing my Ionic again and discovered this same problem of data not updating across devices (android). I've checked for updates, I've manually restarted, synced and force shut downs... Basic solutions for many but nothing worked...
I did however find something that did work and thought I'd share! I learned the app doesn't "share" my wifi connection with my Ionic unless I add the network I want my watch to use IN THE APP.
In fitbit app, open device and select wifi settings and add network! I had to add my works guest wifi and 2 minutes later my Ionic logged a week's worth of device logged water to today's date in dashboard app!
Why this works I have no idea.
Why the app doesn't just use the wifi my phone is automatically connected to, I have no idea...
Happy syncing
