Ionic added steps while syncing

Lazy night just after midnight I was syncing my Ionic with my phone. While syncing it created 4457 steps and 31 active minutes. As you can see they were only on the phone initially, and then appeared on the watch as well. I have had this before where I have woven up with over 4000 steps already registered. I tried to look in the solution suggested on another thread, but I can’t work it out. I’m keener to just work out why it is happening and try to stop it. Any ideas?

It's great to have you here @Wildonthego! Thanks for the details you've mentioned. It sounds like maybe there was an activity logged in your Dashboard and those steps transferred to your Ionic, that's why while you were syncing those steps transferred to it. 

I would like you to restart your Ionic and keep monitoring your information. 

- How many times has this happened?

- Did you manually log activities?

- How often does your watch sync?
