Ionic apps (surprise or not)

After working with support my Fitbit Ionic (already on my second one this will be my third) under warranty for bad battery life and the band (a separate order apparently) for bubbling.  The first one was replaced because it horribly inaccurate and sometimes counted steps and then deleted them.

Back on topic, I noticed in my email from Strava advertising all of the functionality that comes from Fitbit. (Though I always had more on my Garmin and it didn't require me to use GPS to sync with Strava).  But this email got me thinking I should check out the app on the watch (Which I have never personally had working).  I needed to re-authorize the app with my Strava account and then a magical thing happened.  I was able to see my last bike ride in the app.  I am shocked and amazed that it finally actually works.  Not sure for how long but I am optimistic.

I then decide to check the malfunctioning Weather app, and was less impressed.  An app that used to work (though hasn't for months) knows my location (or at least the name of the city next door but just _ _ F for the temp and a note saying to Sync the Fitbit mobile app to update.  To which I have manually synced multiple times and nothing.  I even tried to manually add a city but the search field on my app (Windows 10 Mobile) never finds results.  Just a spinning circle (loading indicator) and then blank.  I am going to try from my app (It is what I used to set more than one credit card for Fitbit Pay).

 Hi Scarab,

I've noticed with both my Ionic and the Versa I owned briefly, that the current location option in the weather app preferences has never worked. Instead what I've done is delete that preference, and simply added the two cities I'm most likely to be in at any given time. It now works perfectly. Of course, if you are constantly traveling, this won't be as helpful.

Update.  Oddly after further testing the Strava app does show my last bike ride, though oddly it is a ride that never made it to Strava.

Also my new Fitbit does not improve the battery.  It was at 25% (and I received the low battery warning) just after 1am.  At 9 am I was down to 12%.  More than 1/8th of the battery gone in 8 hours.  That puts me back at 2.63 days (though sadly this is still better than I was getting.  However things took a turn. Between 9am and 11am I used another 6% (bringing me to 6%).  that is in only 2 hours.  This is 2 hours where I barely moved and was actually trying to go back to sleep.  Now as I write this I noticed I am down to 5%.
