I just noticed in the past few days the battery on my ionic is draining Completely within one day. Just a week ago it would last up to four days.

Interesting mine started doing this about 5 days ago.  Everything was fine, and then it just would die with in hours after being charged to 80%.  I charged it some before going to bed, which I have fought with lately for it to even sense it, so after cleaning it I got it to start charging up to 65%.  I woke this morning to a completely drained watch.  Now it's not even sensing it to charge it at all, the screen is completely black but you can see it "shut down" when I tried to restart it to see if it actually charged or not, but nothing.

Unfortunantly I have to make a decision, since I get a discount on my insurance if we hit certain numbers, which is never a problem, but has to be proven obviously.

So after my watch was on charge x 3 days and then out of nowhere it started charging.  Of course I just purchased a new one, grrrrrr.  I'm confused on how the app will help with the watch that was completely dead.

Throw your Ionic in a drawer.  Fitbit/google has bricked them because they have discontinued the model and replaced it with the Sense and they want you to buy that device.  Search this topic on the forum (there are many posts) and you will find the same thing over and over.  Watches that were working perfectly fine with no changes made to usage all of a sudden die in a day, then the "helpful" Fitbit moderator replies to the concern with the same cookie-cutter response ... "Welcome to the Fitbit community"  "It's good to see you in the community" "Click on this link to find out how to extend your battery's life" (NONE OF US WERE HAVING A PROBLEM WITH OUR BATTERY LIFE AND WE DIDN'T CHANGE ANYTHING!) "Restart your watch" "Factory reset your watch" "Remove the watch from your app, delete the app, reinstall the app, and then add the watch to your app"

Does any of this sound like something we should have to do for a watch that had been working fine for years?  My 2.5 year old Ionic now sits in a drawer and has been replaced by an Amazfit device, which is sad because, while the Amazfit device is OK, I really liked my Ionic better.  I don't trust Fitbit/Google any more to buy one of their devices going forward.

I would wish you luck with your battery life but I think our fates have been sealed by Fitbit/Google.
