Hi can anyone tell me if they have issues with there ionic battery draining really quickly ? This seems to have just started happening over the last couple of weeks. I've been in contact with fitbit and they say there's nothing they can do other than offer me a 35% discount on a new one. Thanks Bev

I have not, but I haven't upgraded to the latest firmware update yet. Let me finish charging mine and I'll see what happens.

Hi, my Fitbit Ionic battery suddenly started draining every 12 hours or so too a few weeks ago. I was waiting fir an update that might fix this but nothing yet. I will contact customer support but did find that if I logout and close the iOS app that the battery drain stops. I’m guessing it’s a new Fitbit Firmware/iOS app issue somehow related to auto sync while using the iOS app. Did you ever find a more permanent solution? Thanks.

I was using the SPo2 watch face and the battery was lasting about 8 hours Changed to the standard face and now last 2 days and still going strong

My Ionic has now started to do this. It’s charge won’t even last 24 hours.
I’ve looked at advice so I’ve reset to Factory Settings several times, cancelled notifications, logged out/logged back in, etc and nothing has worked so far.
I’ve had this expensive Ionic for just over 12 months and I certainly won’t be buying another Fitbit if they can’t sort it out with a firmware update or via some other method.

I feel exactly the same my last charge lasted 11 hours. The ionic I have now is a replacement from fitbit that is less than 12 month old as my previous one just stopped charging. The clock I have on has been on for roughly 6 months so it can't be that. Hope you have more luck with Fitbit than me.

Feels like an in-built obsolescence issue to me.

My Ionic has stopped counting steps and is draining batter over less than 12 hours.

The problems started after the latest update.

Yes, ever since the last update.
I've tried soft resetting (holding the 2 buttons to restart), power cycling a few times (shutdown in menu), and factory resetting a couple of times (through Fitbit help page directions). I've tried removing it from my Fitbit account and adding it back after a factory reset. Nothing is working.
I actually tossed it in a drawer for a bit hoping a new update would fix it, and no new updates since then. My last two cheaper fitbits lasted longer than this one. At the time I bought this one, it was supposed to be the top of the line Fitbit.
A different brand is looking better and better at this point.

I've always used the Moment face. I will try the default Gauges to see if that changes anything.

Changing the clock face didn't work for me. Roughly 3 hours ago when I changed it, battery was at 56%. Now battery is at 22%.
My Ionic is only connected to my phone when I manually sync it. I do not use it for phone notifications/texts, music, gps, none of that. Just the basic Fitbit functions. I chose this Fitbit at the time because it was the only one that was waterproof. I also tried turning the screen brightness to dim. Nothing is helping the battery.

It's disgusting in my opinion, you spend all that money on something that should last alot longer than what it is. All because of an update from fitbit. It's time I certainly moved on.
My clock face has been on for roughly 6 months but I've changed it. Il give anything a go at the minute. Thanks
