Hello all - I hope you can help me as my faithful Ionic seems to have died after lettign the battery go completely dead.

After a full charge up of several hours I got the logo screen going on and off like it was in a boot loop. After reading of the 3 button reset technique I tried that and now boots up to red "X" with "data not cleared Sync & try again" message. I've done this 6-7 times now but getting no change in behavior.

Desperate I did remove the device from my app as well as removed it from the paired bluetooth devices list on my phone. Has anyone brought theirs back to life once in this state?

Thanks Paul! I'm a long time Info Technology guy and thought the device was in a dead state at the red X "data failed" screen. The device is actually in a ready state to be added to the app. I chatted with Support staff online and in minutes I had re-added it to my app and was flashing the firmware. I'm hoping for a full recovery as its not complete yet.

Anyone stuck at the red X should remove the device and attempt to re-add it to their app.

Will post up final results here shortly!

Mike, Do a search with Data not cleared in the forum search bar. Plenty of previous posts in the archive.

160 results. Nothing there, then you're probably out of luck. Still in warranty? - contact support.

Letting these devices go completely flat sadly seems problematic. Unfortunately we can't always stop this from happening. I know, it has happened to me more that once. Probably worse as the battery ages.

Cheers,

Paul
