Hi,
my ionic is showing as “connected” on the phone app but it’s not syncing. Last sync was 12 July. I don’t want to remove the ionic from the app as I did a big workout this morning and don’t want to lose that data . I haven’t had this issue before so can’t understand why it won’t sync, even when I try to activate the “sync now” feature on the app.
Any idea what’s causing the issue ?
thanks

I think it has something to do with a recent update. I keep getting sync errors. I don't know how but it managed to sync really this morning, but otherwise it's not syncing.
The time on my watch is getting progressively slower. It was slow by 3 minutes all day yesterday. It corrected when it synced early morning. Now it's nearly 15 minutes behind and unable to sync.
Is really frustrating since I really rely on this watch for work, especially the alarms. This really needs fixed asap.

Same problem that I am having — won’t sync consistently, and losing time - 10 mintues behind after 12 hours. I went through and reset the Ionic to factory reset settings and updated it, and then put the Ionic back on my account. Same problem. I am putting this away for now and going back to my Apple Watch until this is worked out.

I have the same problem. Last night I updated my iPhone to 11.4.1 and my Ionic doesn't sync while it is connected to my phone. Anyone can help?

I also updated my Iphone last night and for some reason my Cellular data was turned off on my phone. I turned it on and it now my Ionic has synced correctly.

I am also having this issue. I was off the grid for four days, and dutifully charge my Ionic and created Four long (6 or so hours each) of GPS tracking. I cant get it sync. I also have not done the latest update. Does it help to be on wifi? If I do the update, will I lose the data?

I can't speak for the data, but my internet connection / wifi hasn't changed anything. The one time I got it to sync was when it was on the charger, but I think it was a fluke because it hasn't happened since.

I have the same problem. I am able to sync some data items such as steps and heart rate, but sleep has stopped syncing since Thursday last week. Searched and tried all the troubleshooting steps I can find relating to sync issues, but nothing resolves it. Was fine until I tried to sync it today for the first time since last Thursday.

So I discovered an iphone update that I didn’t know was there (no push notification) so having updated the phone (having previously updated the app) I am up and running again. Worth checking the updates for sure.

I'm also having this problem syncing my Ionic to my iPhone X, I got it to sync a couple of days ago, but cannot get it to sync yesterday and today. All the latest updates have been made to both devices.

Okay, I shut down my fitbit Ionic, then restarted it. It immediately synced to my iPhone and I didn't lose the prior day which had not been synced.

Try shutting down your fitbit and restarting, it worked for me.

I also had that problem. Instead of syncing it said looking. A restart fixed it.

I have had this issue (not auto-syncing) since the day I got the Ionic device and it drives me crazy. I have to power off the Ionic device then restart it before it will start syncing. Then it will work for a day or so, and stop again. If the device was meant to work this way Fitbit should have put the Power Off button in an easier location instead of having to drill down thru several icons. I haven't had any updates to my device but from reading other forums it doesn't sound like this probloem was in the works for correction.

Restart your ionic by going to settings, then “about,” then “shutdown.” To restart, just press the middle watch button. After restart it synced and all data was there. Try restarting your phone also.

Has anyone found a fix to this long term? I and several other people I do the work week hustle with are having the same problem, it's been really bad for the last month. It took me over an hour of resetting / unpairing / repairing to sync this morning. It's been an entire day before now.
I can't update the ionic because it wont' stay connected or sync for long enough. The problem is effecting multiple devices of mine (so I know it's not some weird bug with my laptop). I've uninstalled and re-installed the app on all my devices - and it's rather beginning to drive me insane.
Does anyone know if fitbit have a fix coming or if I've missed an already released one?

I normally haven't had an issue, but have had the same issue since Saturday afternoon. My app is recognizing the steps, but not synching with challenges, sleeping, etc. It is not synching with Fitness Pal either.
