Ionic crashing during Treadmill exercise

Hi there

since the last update my ionic keeps crashing when on the treadmill. It will crash then restart, and though on my watch it appears no exercise is being logged it continues to do so when I check out the app on my phone. 

for example today it crashed twice within a 5 minute period during a 40 minute treadmill session. It was still logging three workouts simultaneously some 4 hours later, and I had to restart my watch to stop them. 

My watch is up-to-date and have reset it twice now but doesn't resolve the issue.

anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you and even more if the exercise is not being logged after the crash. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this situation and how many times since then? Is this affecting the treadmill exercise only or other exercises such as Walk, Run, etc. are also being affected? This specific issue also occurs when you use the SmartTrack auto-recognition feature of your Ionic or just when using the Exercise app?

Thanks for the response.

Only just started to happen and I am only aware of it happening on the treadmill - I did update my watch last week to the latest version, which I think may have caused the issue.

Usually I have music playing on my watch too, but tried it without and it still occurred.

Frequency seems to be every time I go on the treadmill. It was weird how when I went back into exercise it showed nothing being logged, yet it was still logging in the background with no way of me stopping it except for restarting the watch.

I will try it again later.

Thanks for all the details that were shared with me, seems odd that only the treadmill exercise is being affected, can you please try with another exercise to see if the same issue occurs? You can test your device with Walk exercise, this way we will be able to move on.

I tried a 40 minute run on the treadmill today without music and no crash.

Will try a walk tomorrow with music playing.

OK after a full rest we seem to be OK on todays workout - recorded exercise, played music and didn't crash.

Now just got to figure out how to make them the logging on a treadmill - it's always well down.

Today I did 7.8km in 40mins on the treadmill. Fitbit says I did 6.2k.

Every workout seems to be consisantly lower on my fitbit than the treadmill.

so it logged distance, but nothing else. No heart rate, calories etc see: Link to watch data  

Think it might be time for a replacement!
