My Ionic screen will not display any data pages, nor will it sync. Cannot be discovered on WiFi either. It will display the fitbit icon during any of the reboot sequences, and even vibrates as it goes thru these reboots. I've tried numerous times to charge it. Even after thoroughly cleaning the contacts on both the charge cable and back face, it doesn't seem to be taking a charge. However, after leaving the Ionic unplugged for over a week, the 0% battery icon will appear when plugged into the charge cable. Rinse and repeat now for about the last 6+ weeks. For full disclosure, the screen did reappear about 8-9 weeks ago but only lasted three days before the screen was filled with coloured horizontal lines thru all the data fields for ablout 4 seconds, then went black.
I am (was) a BIG fan of the Ionic after my old charge 3 gave up the ghost after about 14 months. This Ionic did slightly better by lasting close to 18 months. At this price point for this device, I can't justify having to replace it every 18 months.
Well fitbit, you lightened my wallet for about $500 between the two devices. You're not likely to get anymore. Judging by other reviews of failures in your product line, I'm not alone.
