My Ionic died a few months ago. I bought it Dec 2017 and it died June 2019. I tried all the recommended steps I found back in June, but this seems to be an all too common issue. I had given up on it. I will probably buy a Garmin now as I am a serious runner / triathlete and do want the GPS and HR. I would like to take one more stab at resurrecting this thing as it is a complete waste otherwise. One last try … what can I do to try and get it back to life?

@tigerox It's great to see you on the Community. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried.
I'm glad to hear that before moving, you would like to try some troubleshooting. I would like you to confirm that you tried restarting and charging it. In case, it's not charging try the steps in this article: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?
Let me know how it goes.

Hi. Unfortunately, no luck. I tried the restart a few times and cleaned all the charging terminals and left it to charge all day and nothing.

3 years is a good long run
These devises dont last forever. No Brand does. Good luck with Garmin. Mine was worthless

True that nothing lasts forever but my expectation for quality is higher. Not happy with a product that dies a few months after the warranty expires, which’s seems to happen all too often with Fitbit products.

My ionic has also died and I’ve tried all the reset steps and charging it but it is still unresponsive. I have only had mine for about one year, which I expected it to last a lot longer than that. I’m very disappointed and I don’t know what to do about it, whether I can save it or if it is completely dead and there’s nothing I can do about it.
