Hey,

went for run tonight and set to run via exercise app maybe not even 5mins in the screen wasn’t responsive nor did pressing the buttons.

After a reset it worked but I fear if I go for a run again it will give me the black screen of death..

anyone has any ideas?

It's nice to see you around the forums @Lelo1989! Hmmm... that was weird! I don't think that inconvenience will happen again as you restarted your Fitbit. The restart is what I was about to recommend when I was reading your post.

Just confirming, are these the steps you took for the restart?

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

If by any chance you face the same inconvenience with the screen, don't hesitate to let me know!

Last night as I was going to bed my ionic face began displaying a blank backlit screen. I reset the Fitbit and the backlight got bright but still a blank screen. (Like a “black” blank screen but you could see that the screen was on). By the time I woke up this morning it was good again. Then late this morning it has gone blank again and hasn’t gone to normal despite multiple resets. It still has all other functions it seems. It buzzes for notifications and such. And still syncs with the app. Just no display except backlight.

I'm having the exact same problem. I can see the edges lined with a blue light but everything is pretty much black and the sensors don't appear to be working
