Ionic inaccurate steps and notifications issues

Every so often my Ionic will register steps being taken in huge amounts when I'm not wearing it. Today it registered 9000 between 8 & 8.15. 

Also any fix on assisting with Ionic to vibrate when I receive a notification. All solutions have been tried without success.

Hi, thank you for coming back to me.  I tried all the steps you mentioned in your message & today my steps registered 19000 between 08.00 - 08.15. I wasn't wearing my watch when it registered the steps. 

Also the issue with it not vibrating when I receive a message has resolved either.
