Ionic is not syncing and time is wrong

My ionic wouldn't sync for over 24 hours. For every hour it wasnt syncing it lost 1minute on the time. This is new... Is there a world wide error on ionics? Right now it's 08.51, ionic is showing 08.48...

Hey there @Sineadgc, it's nice to see you around the forums! Syncing difficulty is usually caused by a missing requirement. Verify each requirement before moving on to the troubleshooting steps.

 

Depending your phone, these tips might make syncing easier:

 

  • Turn on the Always Connected option in the Fitbit app. This setting improves the Bluetooth connection between your phone and Fitbit device. Note that turning on this feature may cause the battery on your Fitbit device to drain more quickly than normal.
  • Turn on All-Day Sync in the Fitbit app. This setting prompts your Fitbit device to periodically sync with the Fitbit app but may shorten battery life on your phone or Fitbit device.

 

If your Fitbit device still won't sync, try these steps:

 

  1. Force quit and then reopen the Fitbit app.
  2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and back on.
  3. Open the Fitbit app.
  4. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart it
  5. Uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. If your Fitbit device won't sync after you reinstall the app, log in to your Fitbit account on a different phone, tablet, or computer and try to sync. 
  7. If your Fitbit device still doesn’t sync, remove all other Fitbit devices from your account and from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your phone and try to sync.

 

If your tracker keep showing a wrong time after syncing, I'd recommend taking a look at this post and follow the suggestions.

Hi and thanks for all that info. Unfortunately none of it made a
difference. The time is out now by 24 minutes. I read the article about
changing the times to automatic etc and followed those instructions but to
no avail. She still won't sync. Have you any other ideas?

My Ionic is having a horrible issue with syncing. I have tried everything. I hit sync hundreds of times. It's ridiculous. I am so fed up! I have sent an email to support and awaiting an answer.

I was given a new watch in the shop where I bought it originally. He didntd seem surprised so I'm guessing that I wasn't the first... This watch works just fine...

Welcome on board @Daievs! Sorry to hear about the syncing difficulties you're having with your Fitbit Ionic. 

 

Syncing issues are usually caused by a missing requirement, so I'd recommend taking a look at: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
