I have had my Ionic for almost 2 years, and up until about 2 months ago, have been pleased with it. Since then I have had
~ multiple incidents of counting non-existent steps. I average 4500, but hadd back-to-back days of 30K+, and several with over 15K
~ at least 1 day each week it fails to register my sleep
~ my battery life dropped to about 2 days, but I just saw it cut itself off, although it was charged to 100% less than 24 hours ago.
I have rebooted, reset to factory, updated, and synced.
Unless someone can tell me how to get a semblance of the old performance back, I will throw this **ahem** into the lake and try the Apple.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @soundchaser14.
Thanks for the details shared in your post and for already trying to resolve the issues. I understand how you are feeling about this situation and recommend trying the following:
1. Confirm that the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version. For instructions, see this help article.
2. Force quit the app.
You can find our tips to maximize your Fitbit device's battery life in Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?
Regarding the issue with tracking sleep, I recommend confirming the following:
For more information about factors that can affect sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
Regarding the issue with extra steps, I recommend confirming if you have MobileTrack paired to your Fitbit account? Did you notice if these steps appear during some kind of activity? Do you have any third party app connected to your Fitbit account? You can remove the extra steps from your daily total by following the instructions in this help article: How do I delete steps and floors in the Fitbit app? For more information about accuracy of Fitbit devices, see How accurate are Fitbit devices?
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
