Ionic keeps pausing

I have the New Ionic and I also compete in Crossfit, I have noticed when I set it to 'Workout' or 'Weights' it pauses intermittently throughout my training? has anybody else had this issue or is this normal?

 

Also do I actually need to set it to anything or can I just start training and will it then track my workout?

Better off getting a sweat band work much better !! And a protective screen stick on works well

At the moment, our developers team do not currently have plans to release a feature to lock the screen of the Fitbit Ionic during exercise. For more information please check out this request.
