Ionic loosing time

Hello there,

 

I bought my Fitbit iconic back in June 2020 and I have to say I was really pleased with how it worked. But since the app update 3days ago I have noticed that my iconic has started to loose time. Sometimes by a few mins other times by a few hours. This is really frustrating as everything was working fine and I was pleased with the product. 

now I have on multiple occasions removed the device from my phone and the app and also reset my watch and then continued to sync them again but still it looses time. After re-syncing my watch it amend the time but as time goes by it starts to loose time again. 

i have only noticed this after the app updated 3 days ago. 

as I’ve said this is extremely annoying and if there is no solution to this problem then I certainly won’t be buying or recommending any Fitbit product to anyone in future. 

if there is a solution to this problem I would greatly appreciate it being shared with myself.

I too have the same problem, my Ionic was bought for me for Xmas last year and I haven’t had an issue until about 3 days ago. I’ve tried uninstalling app, forgetting device, deleting previous devices, factory resetting Ionic.....you name it I’ve done it and it syncs to my iPhone XR but after a little while the Bluetooth disconnects and can’t reconnect then loses time.....

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared in your posts, your effort trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here is also appreciated. Let me share with you that our Fitbit devices use the mobile device information to display the time with the syncing process, therefore, by simply syncing your Ionic it should display the time that’s configured on your phone. However, since you are still experiencing difficulties, this may also also be fixed by updating the time zone in your Personal Settings.
