Ionic no response will not charge

I have an ionic that will not charge. The screen is black and it will not respond to any action. I have: Cleaned the contacts. Tried to do a reset with the side and bottom buttons If connected to a USB charger, the charger port will not light (indicating no connection.) Tried to charge on multiple USB ports. Is there any hope for this ionic? thanks, Todd

I've had the same issue today as well. Tried all the troubleshooting. Seems like a wider issue given the number of similar comments on here!

I wanted to post a solution to my Ionic not charging. After multiple emails back and forth with Support, their solution was the Iconic was broken and out of warranty so the only option was to purchase another, since Fitbit offers no repair services. I was not happy to have a product that only lasted two years - because that makes it a rather pricey commitment over time. Thankfully, I found a non-authorized repair center, Joe's gaming and repair They diagnosed the problem as a bad charging port on the Ionic, replaced it, and for $90 I had a working Ionic again. I am very happy with their service and the result. Much better than having to pay for a new Ionic.

Same response from Fitbit. Had the product for less that 16mi this. In between was replaced after 4 months of purchase due to same problem. Now it is out of warranty and they can't help. For a £250 product I would expect it to last a reasonable length of time. Not sure if this is reasonable length of time.

I have just found out, I am in the same boat. I bought mine 5 months ago and it is dead. Purchased from a dealer on EBay. Fitbit customer (NO) service says it was not an authorized fitbit dealer so they will provide no service. How would a customer know if it is an approved dealer. Dealer had a large inventory of fitbit products and item came in a sealed box with the warranty information included.
