Hi all,
I got a new Ionic to replace my Charge 2 and I am not getting any notifications to the watch. I have a Samsung Galaxy 7 edge and my notification bar on the phone says the notifications are running. I disabled the Charge 2 and have turned on my phone and Ionic along with doing all the other recommended steps. I am at a lose, my Charge 2 worked fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What gets me is all the pretend you can make it work advice by jumping through these steeped in BS hoops Fitbit's marketing people are unloading in this and many other Fitbit "community" threads.

What worked? Mine works for a 1/2 day to a day and then fails. What did you do?

1/2 a day?
WOW!!!
I get all the mindless fitbit Rah! Rah! Notifications the best. Bombarded with them in fact.
After resetting hardware, re-booting and setting up again in Fitbit app, Call and text notifications probably work about 2-4 hours before puking, if they work at all. Although it's pretty neat when it does work, Accuweather App works about 2-4 hours before it barfs and must be re-setup. Just re-syncing the watch doesn't refresh Accuweather. Heart, Calories, Miles, Active minutes work all the time. How accurate, I don't know. Seems to compare well with my $59 Flex II non-smartwatch.

Update: The new update 27.32.10.20 seems to have worked! I reverted to the default messaging service, and so far it has been working. I receive updates from Fitbit, Calendar, and my texts with the option to reply back. I would like to go back to Message+, so I'll try to switch this week and see what happens.

I had this same issue with my samsung s7. I had my notification ON but at Lock Screen I had it set to Hide Content. I turned the Hide Content OFF and now I can receive text messages on my fitbit Ionic.
Hope this helps

For the past several months - anytime there is a software update, I download the update, delete the app, re-install the app, re-pair iPhone X, etc.
I really thought this was FINALLY fixed - my notifications worked consistently for the past week.
Then, all of a sudden, despite no other changes I am aware of, notifications stopped working, again. Checked my phone and the Ionic was off. I turned it back on, but in the app "Notifications" starts loading but doesn't stop. Looks like I'll have to delete the app and re-install, AGAIN.
Notifications were my favorite feature (for any Fitbit) and this just doesn't work. It's so disappointing!!

I bought my Ionic as soon as it came out, to replace the Blaze which was not waterproof. I recently (not sure which update) have stopped getting notifications. At first I thought Do Not Disturb overnight was breaking the connection, but I will restart everything and it will reconnect, and then drop again. I chatted with a tech at Fitbit who said other bluetooth connections may be breaking the watch connection. Unacceptable! I have missed so many phone calls because I keep the phone on silent, and depend on the watch. This is so frustrating, never had these problems with the Blaze. I have an iPhone X and this watch and the experience so far is terrible.

I spoke with Support and went through a slightly different process:
In the App, go to "Account" (top right box with three lines) and + Set Up a Device (even though it has your Ionic showing already)
Setup Iconic, and replace the current Ionic. It will then take you through blue tooth pairing again, etc. Make sure notifications are turned on AND location services.
Restart iPhone X
That got it working again - now let's see how long it take before it disconnects.

My ionic was giving me all my notifications except calls. I went into my master notification app settings, went to phone, and turned notification on. Also make sure the notifications are turned on for Fitbit there . This fixed it for me. I have the Motorola z force Droid. Good luck
