Ionic not recognizing Active Minutes without starting a Workout

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Ionic has the latest firmware from 12/05. It has never recognized Active Minutes since I got it unless I start a workout. That is the only active minutes it ever shows.

I am a very active person so there is definitely something wrong with this device. I have reset the Ionic several times since I purchased it months ago.

Hi @karen26 that's a bummer you are having so much trouble...

You would have to update the App in the Google Play store.  I'm an iPhone user so beyond that I can't say.

Also, if Bluetooth isn't turned on in your phone than it won't see or sync with the Fitbit so check that.

Once you get connected there was an update to the Fitbit OS that installs on the tracker and that seems to have corrected some of the missing Active Minutes trouble we have seen.

Good luck!

Hi All @Colinm39 @Joita12 @SantiR

It seems like the latest Fitbit OS update has helped this issue...  My Ionic is now logging some Active Minutes without me having to manually kick off a workout.

To recap - that was the whole issue.  You could go jogging for 20 minutes, without having started a workout on the device, and when you were finished the tracker would show 0 Active Minutes.

Hello @Monte87, I hope you're doing well! Thanks for sharing your experience after updating Ionic. Also, hello to all the users who have participated on this thread regarding the active minute count.

Just as @Monte87 informed; please update Ionic to its latest version (if you haven't done so already). This has helped users to get this sorted. Please share your results once you have done this.

Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

I just want my ionic to do automatic exercise recognitiion like it was doing in the past. Software upgrades apparently screwed up this feature.

All that data info is fun and games. But it does not resolve the actual problem.

Thanks!
