Ionic not registering all my sleep

Hi. I have googled this and keep reading the same stuff. Possible syncing issue etc but i had an ionic for xmas, the gps has worked great and the heart rate and steps all good but the sleep doesn't seem right. I had a little nap in the day and nothing was registered? 3 nights in a row now it only starts registering my sleep half way through the night.? I have been asleep for 3-4 hours prior but i have got up to use the toilet and then gone back to bed. When i check in the morning it tells me i have only slept from like 3am-8am even though i went to sleep at 11pm.

Its annoying as it does work in the second part of the night because it tells me what time i sleep until exactly right ?

Can anyone tell me why it doesn't register the first half of my sleep (3/4 hours +)

Many thanks

It's great to see new users around @SunsetRunner!

This sounds pretty  weird let me help you. As a first step I recommend performing the restart, this should fix the issue. To restart it check out the instructions below:

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

Let me know how it goes!

Maybe the strap isn't tight enough?

I have the same problem. I went to bed at 11 last night but it says I didn’t got to sleep till after 3am. And it says I wake up hours before I get out of bed. I also some how get 5000 to 10000 steps in my sleep

I have the same problem too. I was beginning to think I don't sleep. Restart doesn't do anything. Any other ideas?

I’ve tried it loose, tight and extra tight.

I think it maybe because I am a restless sleeper ???

I’ve had it 6 weeks now and it never registers when I go to sleep. I think it may be because I’m a restless sleeper. I have to manually input my sleep every night.
