I deleted the app, removed my ionic, re-added it, logged out of the app and logged back in. I also tried removing my ionic from my Bluetooth and adding it as a new device and no luck...my challenge steps are not syncing. It has not updated for the last 19 hrs... 😩

Be very careful when trying to fix this issue. On July 11 my ionic stopped syncing. Apparently is an issue with the WiFi chip in the ionic produced by a glitch in the software. Now check if your ionic is still in your WiFi, if not this may be a doomed device like mine.
After couple days trying to sync I finally gave up today and decided to do a factory reset. Big mistake don’t even think on doing this. Even when this seemed to work in the beginning, after re- pair it with my iPhone the ionic asked me to upgrade to latest firmware. Now while doing this my ionic went black on the screen to never wake up again. After spending some time with costumer support they told my ionic was bricked due to the upgrade. I asked if they could repair it and they said no, unfortunately I’m no longer under warranty. Bottom line I got burned with this device. Hope yours is not the same case.

Ionic is still connected to Wi-Fi. Thanks for the info! Sorry to hear about your ionic. I guess for now, I’ll stop messing with it...hopefully there is a new update to correct this issue.

My app just updated and now not syncing to challenges! Come on fitbit get it together!

Ionic just started syncing again...weird...it’s now updating steps in challenges and on dashboard. Hope yours starts working properly too.

I had the same issue and turning on the location worked for me
