Ionic not syncing with Strava since update

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I updated my Fitbit Ionic yesterday and since then it is not uploading anything to my Strava.  I have read other threads and have removed authorisations from Fitbit and Strava and re-authorised them.  I have disconnected my Ionic from my account and set it up again.  I have also logged out and logged back into Strava and Fitbit, but still nothing.  I have also  shutdown my fiitbit and restarted it.  It is so frustrating.  Any other ideas please anybody?

I am experiencing the same thing! Before the update my run information would automatically transfer to Strava within seconds of my phone being close to my watch again (leave my phone at home when I run). But since the update I have been on a run and now it won’t transfer to Strava at all no matter what I do? Help?

Mine has automatically synced when I was asleep at 4.12, don’t know if anyone else’s has fixed itself?

Am also facing the issue since I completed the run today. I tried linking from both ends - strava and ionic apps. Still doesn't work

Same issue, I spoke to the Twitter support team, who advised to delete the connection and relink, but no love. I was trying to do a Strava challenge too 😡

Same thing here. Fitbit Ionic is the most annoying gadget I ever acquired.

Update; Fitbit support got back to me saying that they were investigating it at midnight last night (GMT) and my run from yesterday morning synced at 2am

Still not working.  Went running this morning and discovered after half an hour that the autorecognise was no longer working either, stopped and manually set the run to record, but still not syncing with Strava

you can add fitbit files manually into strava while this is being sorted

Yes, I've been doing this, it's just not the same.  I'm taking part in a couple of challenges so not everything is being recorded.  Hopefully it will get sorted soon 🙂

I was also disappointed to see that the auto recognise for running has stopped working too.  Of course, i can set it to record my run when I start, but i did like the way it picked up my run if i did forget to set it.

not the same, how so?, when i add a tcx file to strava its exactly the same as if it had auto added, all the splits are there, map  etc

How did you get the file to convert to a tcx file? On the fitbit page it only gives you two options and neither will sync to strava.

My Fitbit Surge took about 12-18hours before the run came up in Strava. My Fitbit Ionic, I haven't been able to sync this mornings run with Strava, but am waiting 24hours to see if it comes through, before trying a manual upload. I am running Fitbit Windows 10 app and noticing limited functionality all round.

@jaerostep, im not sure how youre accessing your exercise, but on my fitbit dashboard when i click on the icon it gives me 2 options, export as a tcx file or delete. i didnt have to make any conversion, i checked its exactly the same when i access my dashboard on my phone
