Hi,
I am having issues with my Ionic syncing for probably the 100th time now, when it has not even been a year since I got the device. It is getting very annoying at this stage. As some other users mentioned why pay a premium price if it won't work with your apps. I tried every trick under the sun to make this sync. Restarting the ionic, un installing and re installing the app on my phone, un pairing ionic from my phone, forgetting the phone all together and trying the same with my personal laptop, office laptop, etc..., etc...,. I have actually run out of devices for me to try to sync this stupid thing with. I feel so frustrated with the whole thing. I really don't know what to do.

Let me know how it goes, I'll be around if you need further assistance.

I'm with you on this. I'm also re-installing for the nth time and getting really fed up of it now. Still can't connect to wifi so finally resorting to a bluetooth install. Could be a while. Notifications just stopped (again) a few days ago. Done everything multiple times. It wouldn't be so bad if the re-install worked ok but even that is torture. Tried with this but I'm off to Android Wear I think.

Hi RicardoFitbit,
Thanks for your response. I tried all the troubleshooting steps mentioned in that link not just with one device. I tried it with my phone, my husband's phone, my work laptop, my home laptop and nothing is working. Now I have successfully unpaired my Ionic from all devices and it won't even pair again with any device let alone syncing. Now my Ionic is not paired to anything meaning none of my data is getting updated in the dashboard anymore making this very much useless. I never had notifications come in properly before. What I am currently left with is a glorified expensive watch which shows time, my step count and calories burnt for the day. That's it.

Hello again! I'm here to continue assisting, my sincere apologies for the delay in responding. Welcome aboard @Mark_L and @JenineS. Also, @JessJason you're welcome, thanks for your reply and update.
@Mark_L Seems odd that your Ionic device is not connecting to your WiFi connection, if you haven't already done so can you please check: How do I connect my Fitbit watch to Wi-Fi?. Also, regarding your notifications difficulties, can you please let me know if you're not receiving text and call notifications or just one of them? Please our help article: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and let me know how it goes.
@JessJason Thank you for troubleshooting this situation with me, your time and patience are appreciated. It's completely odd that your Ionic is now having difficulties with the setup process, however, this is usually caused for the same syncing reason. Let me share with you that setup difficulties are usually caused due to a missing requirement. Please review the requirements from our help article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? and move on to the troubleshooting steps if needed. Please keep me posted, looking forward to your reply.
@JenineS I'm sorry to know that you feel this way, thanks for troubleshooting this matter prior posting. First, can you please confirm if the steps from my previous post were the ones you already tried? Also, have you tried with a different compatible mobile device or a computer? I'll be looking to your reply.
Don't hesitate to ask me any additional questions, I'll be around.

Hi Ricardo,
Thanks for your help on this. I have/had already tried all those things. It is now working, at least for a while, but this was not the result of doing anything different. Just repeated attempts at the same thing until eventually it gets through. I do believe it is mainly the bad wifi connection that causes a lot of the problems I have but it is only the fitbit that has problems with the wifi. My only other issue is that if/when I get it working connecting a second fitbit ( a Flex pod for when I can't wear one on the wrist) will often leave the pair of them trying to lock each other out. Even setting the Flex to be as near 'manual' as I can get it doesn't stop the app trying to find it. I like the Ionic, does everything I want it to do, it just doesn't do it well enough and it's too hard to put right when it does go wrong. It is reaching the stage where I'm considering alternatives.

Hi @Mark_L, you're welcome, thanks for your reply and update.
Let me first appreciate your time and effort taking in consideration the troubleshooting steps that were previously posted, I'm glad to know that your difficulties were resolved. In regards the connection difficulties you're currently experiencing when using your Fitbit Flex, I recommend you to check our help article: Can I use more than one Fitbit device with the same account? for more information and details. To avoid syncing difficulties with your Flex, please make sure that your Ionic device is not near by because this will cause that your mobile device Bluetooth connects to both devices, making difficult the syncing process of them. Your feedback is appreciated.
I'll be here if you need anything else, please don't hesitate to ask me any additional questions you may have.

Hi Ricardofitbit .... sorry if unfortunately trying "all the steps" seems to be the only stock standard response tat all the fitbit ppl give. Yes I tried to follow "all the trouble shooting steps" and yes I tried it with multiple systems and yes I tried it in 3 different wifi networks (this is just to make sure that I don't have the same problem as @Mark_L here) ... finally it synced once to my offie laptop a couple of days back and then gone again the next day. If this is what I have to do every couple of days isn't that a bit too much? I am disappointed as to why Fitbit has made no attempts to fix this problem with one of their most premium priced device. From what I could see I m not the first person to conplain about this. I am sorry to say that Fitbit's response to this is just alienating its customers and ll definitely lead to them losing those customers as no one unfortunately has the time to spend hours on following "all the trouble shooting steps" to do something as simple as syncing your watch to ur app. The device is great. But the app is crappy and the way Fitbit responds to customer feedbacks _______ ???

Welcome back @JessJason thanks for your reply and the information that was provided. My apologies for the delay in responding.
I'd like to appreciate the feedback that was provided in regards our Ionic device and the difficulties you're currently experiencing, I totally understand how frustrating this can for you too. Please note that my only intention is to get you back on track, therefore, I provided you with some help articles that should resolve your difficulties. However, I'm glad to know that you were able to setup your Ionic again and sync it with your office laptop computer.
Please note that you can sync your Fitbit with any compatible phone, tablet, or computer that meets syncing requirements. If you receive notifications from your phone on your Fitbit device, you'll need to disable the Bluetooth bond between your phone and Fitbit device before using a different phone to sync it, this to avoid any connection difficulties that might be causing the syncing concern.
I'll be here if you need anything else.
