I have a Fitbit Ionic, plugged it in Monday night. Forgot to put it on Tuesday. Checked it Wed. afternoon and it's dead. Won't turn on.
Tried a different charger for a couple hours. Still dead.
Tried hard reset (holding all 3 buttons down). Still dead.
Cleaned contacts on the Fitbit & the charge cable. Won't charge/power on. Still dead.
Called Fitbit support. Went through everything above all over again.
Was happy to give me a 24% discount on a new Fitbit device to get me back in the game because my Fitbit was "out of warranty".
Now, this Fitbit is NEW from Fitbit itself in June of this year, 2019. It was a replacement for my ORIGINAL Fitbit Ionic that literally juts fell off my wrist and cracked the screen when it hit the ground. You telling me I can only expect 6 months out of one of these $300 watches, and you really expect me to buy another one? (rhetorical)
Anyone have any other ideas to get this one working?

@NaterC Welcome to the Community. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding the quality of Fitbit products.
It is particularly difficult when the device is no longer covered by the warranty, but even though Support is eager to help with any problem you may experience with the product, they do need to adhere to the official warranty policy, this would start counting from the original date of purchase.
I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Well they never had me send my original FitBit Ionic back (with the cracked screen)
I ordered a tube of B7000 adhesive, I'm going to bust out the tools this weekend and try to take the (hopefully) functioning screen off my current dead Fitbit Ionic, and use it to replace the cracked screen on my original FitBit Ionic.
As far as Fitbit goes as a company/brand/option, you're essentially dead to me.

Same happened to mine yesterday. The battery was at 85%. I put it on the charger for about 1/2 hour and when I came back it was completely dead. Tried all the same trouble shooting with no luck. I have not called support as of yet. However, I purchased mine around July of 2018 so it is out of warranty. 😞
