Ionic not working after Splash pad area

I am super frustrated with my Ionic right now.  I wore it for the very first time Sunday in the splash pad area with the kid and it instantly shut off.  With a rating of 50M, I didnt think it would be a problem being on the splash pad with the kids. Has anyone else had issues like this?  Ive placed it in a bowl of rice, blew it out, tried charging it.  Nothing.  It seems that FitBit's do not last more than a year or two and you need to purchase a new one.  I am about ready to give up on FitBit and go to a different company

Yes, I did call. However I’m thinking I will be switching away from the FitBit company as I have had to purchase a new device every 2 years or so.
