My Ionic was working perfectly until last night when a firmware update notice appeared and I started the update. The update failed and left the Ionic in a constant state of showing the Fitbit logo and blinking it after about 10 seconds. I tried to reboot and the three button factory-reset - got the vibration - but no change. The watch was bricked by the Fitbit issued update!
The watch is about a year and a half old and was working until the update. I notice that this has happened to a lot of people over the life of this product. This is unacceptable. How would you like to have your working furnace cleaned and then be told that you have to buy a new one, because it no longer works and cannot be repaired?
I would like to know why Fitbit does not replace such bricked products when it is their fault it no longer works. You can check my records and see what my watch was doing right up to the update.

I to tried to update the firmware, and my ionic went blank and never powered back up. None of the troubleshooting tips work, and its now useless. Can you pass on the number for the customer service? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
