Ionic not working properly

I've had my Ionic for a little over a year and quite frankly, it should last much longer than that for the price that it was when it was purchased.

  • Several months ago, my silent alarms stopped working altogether. At first, I thought I might be sleeping through them, so I set one for 5 minutes from the time I was testing and nothing happened. I tried resetting the watch, turning it off and on, etc., but nothing helped. I couldn't get them to work, so I chalked it up as being a bug and went to using my phone instead.
  • Then randomly, my screen stopped turning on when I'd raise my wrist. A feature I used all of the time because I could check the time with my other hand occupied. I restarted, reset, etc., and nothing worked.
  • Fast forward to a week ago. All of a sudden my Fitbit is registering thousands of steps per day. Both while sitting on a completely still desk charging and while on my wrist. And no fan or electronics are on the desk that could cause it to vibrate. The desk literally has a pad of paper and pen on it. Not only is it recording thousands of steps, but it's recording hundreds of floors. Yesterday, it recorded 146 floors, which is almost double the Empire State Building. And again, I've tried restarting, resetting, etc. I've even let it run completely down, which wasn't hard because counting thousands of steps and floors eats the Ionic's battery up. It only lasts for about 8 hours now, when it previously lasted 3-4 days.

I'm fairly certain I'm outside of the warranty window, but it's honestly ridiculous that this thing would fall apart so quickly. For the same price, I could get an Apple Watch Series 3, and quite frankly, that's what I'm considering doing.

Hey Silvia,

I'd be fine with starting a case with the support team, but it's my understanding from reading the Fitbit Warranty that my Fitbit isn't supported. I've had it for slightly over a year.
