I have a iphone 7 plus. The first day my notifications would make my watch vibrate and pop up on my watch. Now it doesn't seem to do that. I tried restarting my phone and refreshing the app. I also powered off the watch and turned it back on. I ensured the notifications were on, on the app. I also had it on for exercising and sleep on my watch. Any suggestions? Did I turn something off in inadvertently?
Hi there, waiting for mine to arrive here, but a have a very stupid question.. I assume you can actually read the mails, WA and txt messages on the ionic , correct?
Best Answer@DIKKE Not stupid at all! That's actually a great question. The answer is, yes. However, there is a character limit for readable text on device for mail, text messages and app notifications. I don't know the exact limit off hand, but I'm going to ask. I'll update you when I get confirmation on this. Thanks for patiently waiting!
HA! thank you, since i could not find it in the FAQ, and I'm not familiar with other fitbit products. I assume it is about the same ( char length ) as with the pebble time?
best, Dikke
Best AnswerHi. Notifications are still not working for me. I've booted the watch, made sure notifications are turned on on the watch and enabled in settings from my Apple 7+. Logged out of Fit Bit and back in..
Just got the watch yesterday.
Only got about 25% of my texts yesterday. Nothing today.
I have the exact same problem....
Yeah, same here. Still working on more reboots (Ionic and Android phone), "forgetting" Bluetooth connection to Ionic, enabling / disabling, forgetting and resetting everything.
I'm coming from a Pebble Time - Ionic looks amazing and is an incredible fitness tracker, but so far it's a terrible smartwatch. I don't have a Timeline like Pebble did (single most useful feature), the notifications are either delayed or utterly absent... I'm hoping so hard for the Ionic's (smartwatch) function to impress me anywhere near as much as its form or fitness function does, but it's coming up way short so far 😞
Yes, thanks for the message - to clarify I love Fitbit just as much as I loved Pebble. I was one of the few people in my office who kind of cheered when Fitbit purchased Pebble, because for me it raised the possibility that Fitbit would simply incorporate everything I loved about Pebble into a device which also gave me the (in my mind) mission-critical aspects of my Fitbit device.
I'm holding out for vindication of my optimism, but the Ionic launch has thus far left me feeling very uncertain.
Same problem taking mine back to Best Buy I should've known this thing was a piece of junk my surge at all kinds of issues. Also I should've known when you have to pay more than $60 for an extended warranty for $300 product that Best Buy does not have any Faith in this product
If you can take it back. Do so. Will not even received text messages from phone or any notifications. This should work without hours of hold time etc to get it to work. If I could return mine I would. I bought it direct and have had it only 1 day. 1 day too long. Dave
This is a software issue. I'm having the same issue where notifications stop coming in. Had the same issue on my Kickstarter Edition Pebble. A software update to the Pebble fixed it.
Best AnswerI got a few text and email notifications yesterday but today I'm getting nothing. I tried rnning through all problem solving routines that were mentioned on the fitbit website and still can't get notifications. Everything else seems to be working fine. A comment from the fitbit people would be appreciated at this point before I decide to return it.
Just got the ionic set up got a few notications now nothing for a day I also have tried all the reboots and resetting everything I read online still not working would Also like to see a mederator chime in here as to how to fix the problem. A lot or money spent to get this an it does not work right. Considering returning
