In the last 3 days my watch has repeatedly crashed. Black screen not responding to key presses. Will not sync with phone.
I have fixed this each time by Rebooting it. (left button and lower right button for 15 seconds). Have also tried changing clock face as I've had issues with these in the past.
However it keeps happening every few hours. Any ideas?

Welcome back to the Community @whowell. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried.
It's pretty weird that your Ionic is resetting and the screen isn't responding to key presses. In this case, I've shared your post with our Support team, they will continue assisting you and providing you with options.
I'll be around if you need further assistance.

I have been having a similar issue when I am using the GPS and pandora during my runs. I can't use both applications without it going to the Fitbit icon screen and freezing. This seems to happens about the half mile mark and repeated happens. I have tried to do the reset but that does not always work......VERY FRUSTRATING

My Ionic shut down Saturday Aug 3rd at 934PM and finally got it to come back up yesterday Aug 5, but as soon as it came up, it froze back up on me and now I can't get it to come back on at all. Try to do a reset and it gives me a blue screen then shuts back down.

Received Support from Fitbit:
They basically told me to restore watch to factory settings. set up watch again and then install firmware update.
The result :
first 8 attempts : crashes during setup - got to "stage 2 downloading" but never got beyond 4% before watch crashed
Next 5 attempts: Restore to factory settings failed with "Data not cleared sync and try again"
Watch now unusable
